A new an improved "Teacher's Favorite Things" is here!
After several years of the old format with some feedback of things that didn't translate everywhere & adding in more options for things that can be sent via email (lots of gift card suggestions), I have made some updates to the Favorite Things Template.
1. Download the file
2. Print it.
3. Fill in the teacher's name, your family's name & one specialized favorite thing in the odds & ends category.
I had several suggestions for great ideas (sports team, type of wine, Bible verse, season, etc.) that I knew would be a lot more specialized... so I created a spot for you to specialize it yourself!

Older Version of Favorite Things
Being a teacher is wonderfully hard & extraordinarily rewarding.
In 2016 as my preschoolers were beginning their year, I quickly sketched up a favorite things list for their teachers. I knew throughout the year that I would want to appreciate & celebrate these teachers & this gave me a guide so that I knew I was appreciating them with things they valued.
I am attaching a digital sketch below. You can print it out to use, just be sure you fill in your child's teacher's name & your name at the end of the note before sending them to school. Once it returns home, put it somewhere where you will not forget about it.
The first year we did this, I sat down with my 3 year old after we received her teachers' lists & we read through them together. It was fun for her to make connections with her teachers & things they both liked. She also had a handy ability to remember those things when we were out grabbing happies to send to school.
Have an awesome school year!
